The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for Accounts Receivable analysis, Cash Application, General Ledger Account Reconciliation, Sales Tax Return Preparation, and Bank Reconciliation. Additionally, you will:? Maintain and balance the general ledger system by inputting and downloading data; schedule necessary duties and tasks; and obtain and verify data? Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information ? Prepare general ledger entries and maintain records and files; reconcile accounts? Prepare Accounts Receivable entries related to Cash Application and track the Cash Books? Review and assess potential customer applications for credit terms, monitor and inform key management of credit limit issues within divisions ? Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes ? Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting financial information ? Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential? Perform special projects as requested by the Controller. We?re looking for our next Staff Accountant to have strong technical accounting and financial analysis aptitude with high personal integrity and strong work ethic, and have a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with at least 3 years of experience in corporate accounting. Knowledge of relevant GAAP accounting rules, experience with MAS 200 and NetSuite, as well as intermediate to advanced skills with MS Excel and MS Word are preferred.
